Hey there, You Beautiful Birdies!
Quick life update from “the cool aunt” —
I’m in LA for a bit to hang out with my sister’s kiddos while she departs on her newest adventure, onboarding as a rock star helicopter RN! I am also ironing out publishing my very first children’s book, Mia the Sea Otter Learns How to Golf, so the next few weeks are going to be exciting!
It’s been such a joy to be here over the past few days, and full disclosure, I’d been feeling FOMO after missing so many life moments with Lindsey and the boys. Spending time with these kids (affectionately called meow meows or moo moos) has been both helpful and so much fun. I’m learning so much from their energy and curiosity, and I think this summer is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
So, it looks like I’ll be in LA for a while, taking in the sunshine, getting some much-needed relaxation in while I wait out my mandatory hiatus with Microsoft, and get to create some core memories with the littles. So jazzed to get to soak in all the experiences that come with being the cool auntie. There’s SO MUCH LOVE here. We’ll for sure fit golf in there somewhere this summer. Getting my nephews hooked on this infuriating, special game is increasingly important to me.
